Grabaciones de radios en contextos cotidianos tomadas durante septiembre y noviembre de 2018 por Benjamín Slavutzky en Guinea Bisáu durante la residencia de formación, creación e intercambio artístico “No tchon, no arte” del Colectivo de artes escénicas NOMAS (Barcelona, España).

'Al estar en un país lejano a mi idioma y cultura, al sentirme sobreestimulado sensorialmente, intenté hacer un recorte del paisaje, tomar capturas. Me gusta cerrar los ojos. No soy bueno sacando fotos. No se me da. Poner la grabadora me daba una excusa para quedarme contemplando. Estábamos haciendo muchas cosas simultáneamente en la residencia. Mucha información. Salir a grabar. Organizarme para salir a hacerlo era un modo de tener tiempo para mí, de estar en silencio. A la vez daba y me daba la sensación de seguir estando haciendo algo. No podía creer lo que veía, lo que escuchaba, lo que estaba sintiendo. No terminaba de entrarme. A su vez, la radio, como medio de comunicación en decadencia para nuestra cultura, emergía con gran fuerza exhibiendo las diferencias, revalorizando las diferencias religiosas, étnicas y políticas. ¿Qué suena en la radio de Bissau? ¿Cómo sonará este medio de comunicación que viene amenazando su desaparición hace décadas?' Organizing myself to go out and do it was a way of having time for myself, of being silent. At the same time it gave and gave me the feeling of still being doing something. I could not believe what I saw, what I heard, what I was feeling. I did not finish entering. In turn, radio, as a means of communication in decline for our culture, emerged with great force exhibiting differences, revaluing religious, ethnic and political differences.
